Niall Williams
Niall is Managing Director and co-founder of NDLA and holds a BA in Landscape Architecture and MA in Landscape and Urbanism.
He has worked and led a wide range of landscape projects, from multiple community schemes, new health care projects, and has even recently completed proposals for the UKs first large development of 800 homes that is neutral on water use within its catchment.
Niall is a former Trustee of the Landscape Institute and a past Delegate to the International Federation of Landscape Architects World and European Councils, representing the UK at events in Singapore, Turkey, Norway and London. His work has led him to meet world-leading designers and specialists in all aspects of environmental design and research. He has previously spoken at UN events such as the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi, and the Forum on Urban Forestry, Italy. Additionally, he has spoken at and attended various events in both Westminster
and Brussels on developing sustainable cities and agricultural systems.
Niall hosts the People, Place and Nature Podcast - a podcast that discusses the environmental challenges and issues of the day, potential solutions and innovations that will allow us to overcome these challenges. He is therefore well placed to take a lead role in the community engagement strategy, helping us to assist the client team in presenting, communicating and developing the proposals with the local community.
