This scheme saw the regeneration of a small residential estate’s road boundary, which was designed and reviewed with their resident’s group and appointed maintenance company. Following feedback from the residents and in collaboration we developed a new entranceway, brick pillars, and railings to replace existing fencing, reinstated hedgerows and introduced new amenity planting to brighten the space and encourage biodiversity. The challenge with the scheme was a large number of mature existing boundary trees. Working with arboriculture consultants we were able to amend and tweak the layout to ensure pillar and post locations were in the best possible locations to mitigate any potential impact to the tree roots.
