Located at the end of New Malden Highstreet the scheme sought to revitalise the existing junction bringing new life to a large underused space and existing large roundabout. The scheme sought to introduce a large number of blossoming trees to the roundabout, with clear stems to still enable sight across the space. The large space adjacent to the space was developed to incorporate large existing trees and build on the influence of the adjacent sustainability centre to create a mini-forest. Creating spaces for people to relax and have a break, enhancing biodiversity in the town centre, and creating playful opportunities for children.
