How NDLA Manages Landscape Architecture Projects
At ND Landscape Architects, we guide every project through a clear and collaborative design journey. From the earliest ideas to the final inspection, our process ensures landscapes are well-considered, deliverable, and aligned with each client’s goals.
A Structured Process with Clear Stages
Our approach is shaped by years of experience across sectors — from housing and healthcare to education and public realm. Each project follows a four-stage process designed to keep ideas clear and progress on track.
We begin with Analyse, where we develop an understanding of the site, its context, opportunities, and constraints. This includes site surveys, client briefings, and desktop analysis.
In the Design stage, concepts take shape as we explore layout options, planting strategies, materials, and spatial structure. At this stage, our team shares visualisations, masterplans, and early design drawings for feedback.
Next comes Detail, where we develop technical packages including construction drawings, levels, specifications, and setting-out plans — all ready for pricing and build.
Finally, we move to Build, where we support the implementation process with site visits, inspections, and responses to design queries, ensuring the final result reflects the original intent.
Working in Collaboration with the Full Team
NDLA works closely with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the project. We believe that strong communication helps create better outcomes, reduce risk, and keep projects aligned — whether on a complex masterplan or a private garden.
Focused on Quality and Delivery
From start to finish, our goal is to create landscapes that are not only visually engaging but also buildable, sustainable, and lasting. Every stage is handled by our in-house team of qualified landscape architects and designers, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout.
